See You Miyazaki!

Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki, who described the Walt Disney of Japan, hangs up his pen.

In 1963 Hayao Miyazaki had entered Toei Animation. He choreographed an animation which all Japanese know, "Heidi, Girl of the Alps" in this company. In 1979, he made the film "Lupin the 3rd, the castle of Cagliostro" is his first time of film director. While this Lupin movie released, he presented "Nausicaa of the valley of the wind" and met with criticism from his company. After that, his brother whose company is Hakuhodo supported him and "Naussica" was a hit in 1984.

With the hit as a start, Hayao Miyazaki, producer Toshio Suzuki and film director Isao Takahata founded Studio Ghiburi in 1985. Studio Ghiburi release many animated films, "my neighbor Totoro" and "Spread Away," which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature of 2002.

In 2013, Hayao Miyazaki released the director's 11th film "the Wind Rises" is the first time of his reality film. In this film, the phrase "creative term is only since ten years" leaves. The 72-years-old director put a halt to his creative 50years' life as an animator.

また逢う日まで、宮崎駿

日本のウォルトディズニーと称されるアニメーター宮崎駿は引退した。

1963年 東映動画に入社した彼はアニメ『アルプスの少女ハイジ』を構成し、1979映画『ルパン三世カリオストロの城』で初めて監督をした。 宮崎駿は映画ルパン三世を作っている時、ナウシカを企画するも会社には批判される。結果、博報堂社員である弟の助けにより『風の谷のナウシカ』は１９８４年映画化しヒット。

このことがきっかけで１９８５年、プロデューサー鈴木や監督高畑とともにスタジオジブリを設立する。 その後、トトロなどの国民的映画を作り、２００１年には日本人初のアカデミー賞アニメ部門を『千と千尋の神隠し』で受賞。

２０１３年、１１作目にして初のリアリティー映画『風立ちぬ』を発表、この映画の中で「クリエイティブな期間は１０年」と残した宮崎駿は、アニメーター人生５０年に終止符を打つことを表明した。
