Think Politics ; Think Future
It is necessary to be able to criticize and look at something from different perspectives with sufficient knowledge to do that. If you do that, your thinking will develop.
The Ozaki Yukio Foundation offers great opportunities to people who are interested in politics , who want to share ideas or opinions regarding the japanese society and the world peace with other people and who want to be proactive in contributing to the Japanese society.
The Foundation was built in front of the Diet with donations collected from all over Japan and around the world to promote the vision of the late Ozaki Yukio, holding the record of being elected as a Diet Member for 63 years and is called the " God of constitutionalism" or the " Father of the parliamentary Democracy". He always fought for people, never gave in to pressure from any powers or authorities, and devoted himself as a stateman in order to realize true democratic politic and world peace. The foundation includes Gakudō juku and Seikei Konwakai. This foundation is the only place where you can study Japanese politics objectively while keeping equal distance from every political party." said Mr.Takaaki Ishida, a member of the board and secretary-general the foundation, who is carrying out the desire of Ozaki Yukio.
Gakudō juku is the place for cultivating human resources who can exert leadership in realizing a more democratic and peaceful society.Members includes students, wokers, NPO members, secretaries to politicians etc. They listen to speakers who are invited by the foundation among specialists in various fields and politicians from various parties and engage in deep discussions among members after each lecture. "I let members engage in discussions without a speaker as it would be easier for them to express their opinions. I want them to proactively criticize the content of the lecture and exchange opinions with other members
I trust that this exercise would enable them to find out different perspectives. " said Mr. Ishida. While Seikei konwakai also gives ordinary people opportunities to listen to the speakers but it doesn't aim to cultivate human resources. "I am welcome to come here for every one who are interested in politics. What is needed in Japan is to promote "Matured Democracy" through civil education. I mean people should be encouraged to look at things from a variety of viewpoints, discuss and share ideas so as to develop his/her own critical thinkings. It is also important that the critical spirit should be accompanied by sufficient knowledge." said Mr. Ishida.
The way of thinking is important not only when you learn politics, but also when you lead your ordinary life. Mr.Ishida told us "You should put it into practice in your daily life. Imagine, when you take a class, you should think twice what the professor said in your class, not to think everything he said is right and just write down every words he said."
政治を考え未来を考える

自分の考えを深めるために、十分な知識背景でもって物事を批判できる精神と客観的、多角的な見方をもつことが必要である。
尾崎行雄記念財団は政治に関心がある人々にとって有意義な機会を提供している。特に、日本社会または世界平和についてのアイディアや意見を他人と交換したい人、日本社会に貢献することに意欲的な人にとって存在意義は特に高いであろう。
財団は、故尾崎行雄のビジョンの促進に努めるため、日本のみならず世界各国からの寄付金によって国会議事堂前に創立された。尾崎行雄は、63年間議員を務めた記録を持ち、「憲政の神様」「議会政治の父」と呼ばれている。彼はいかなる権力にも屈せず、常に国民のために戦い、議員として真の民主政治の確立と世界平和の実現のために人生を捧げた。財団は、咢堂塾と政経懇話会を運営している。「この財団は、あらゆる政党から同じ距離を保ちながら客観的に日本政治について学ぶことことができる場所なのです。」と尾崎行雄の信念を受け継ぎ財団を運営している石田尊昭事務局長は語った。
咢堂塾はより民主的で平和な社会を実現するためにリーダーシップをとることのできる人材を育成することを目的とした場所である。そこでは、学生、会社員、NGOメンバー 、議員秘書など様々な分野の人々が参加しており、咢堂塾は、様々な分野の有識者や各党の政治家をゲストスピーカーとして招聘し、 参加者は講演の後、深い議論を重ねている。石田事務局長は「私は、ゲストスピーカーを抜きに参加者だけで議論を深めるよう促しています。そうすることで、個々の意見をより引き出しやすくなるのです。私は講義の内容を積極的に批判し、他の参加者と意見交換をしてほしいのです。」と述べ、さらに、「このエクササイズによって、参加者は自分とは異なる視点を見つけることができると私は思っています。」と語った。一方、政経懇話会でも一般の方がゲストスピーカーの講演を聴く機会 があるが、咢堂塾との違いは、そこでは人材育成を目的としていないところである。石田事務局長は、「私は政治に興味がある方であれば誰でもここに参加してほしいです。今の日本に必要なことは、市民教育を通じての「成熟した民主政治」を促進することです。つまり、みんながあらゆる視点から物事をみて、個々の批判的精神を育てるために議論したり意見交換をすることが必要なのです。また、批判的精神をもつ上で、批判しうるだけの十分な知識を持つことが大事なのです。」と語った。
そうした考え方は、政治や経済を考える上で必要なだけでなく、普段の生活で実践していくことが大事である。例えば、授業を受ける際にノートを取り、教授の意見をそのまま受け身で受講するのではなく、一旦、自分の中で批判的に考える事が大事である。そうすることで、真理に近づけるのである。
